Hello, Janet,
I'm very excited to see this latest Graveyard Rabbit! I have many ancestors and relatives buried in Muskegon County cemeteries, and shall be following this blog closely. Unfortunately at this time, you won't see me as a "follower" according to Blogger, because I already am a blog follower of the limit (200)...plus many more!
Although I haven't been to Muskegon County since I was a little girl, I've got many photographs of Muskegon County graves and access to the cemetery books on microfiche at my local Family History Center (I realize these are now available online as well), so if you ever need additional resources, think of me!
Dear Graveyard Rabbit,
Is it possible to get a listing of the plot numbers in a local cemetery without having to pay for it? I last visited the Oakhill(?) Cemetery in 2003 looking for the grave of my great-great grandfather Dudley Winters (7th MI Infantry) and came up void. An info person at the co. genealogy society assumed the old stone had broken. MCGS list has Dudley, his wife Susannah, brother James, son William and his wife Julia in the cemetery but I found stones for none. Also zilch for Julia's parents Euphrates and Viletta Rogers...some online genealogies say they are buried near Flint but MCGS says they are in Holton.
If I had lot numbers, I could do the hoofing for myself the next time I come to MI; I live in PA.

PS. Yes I know this would make my cousins and siblings Muskegon County Pioneers....but I'm broke on that too. Up the economy!!
